Transforming Dyfed Menswear’s Brand Identity and Digital Presence

As a Cardiff-based web development agency, it’s always a great thrill to work with leading Welsh brands. So, it’s with great delight to announce that we’ve been appointed by renowned menswear hire company Dyfed Menswear to implement a new brand, web presence and digital strategy to enhance customer experience and help them further grow revenues.

Getting to know Dyfed Menswear

Dyfed Menswear is a name that will be familiar to many of us in the South Wales & West Country region. A name synonymous with preparing men for their wedding days and other formal occasions since their establishment in 1985.

Winners of the National Wedding Awards prize for ‘Best Wedding Menswear’ for the past eight years, Dyfed Menswear specialise in the hiring of formal wear for men, as well as selling a range of suits and accessories.

Following the recent opening of their new store in Bristol, Dyfed are investing in new facilities to improve the in-store experience for their customers; including private consultation rooms to allow grooms and their parties to have greater privacy.

Using Digital to Enhance the Experience and Modernise the Brand

Adding to this progressive approach to customer experience, Dyfed recognised the need to modernise other areas of the business; namely brand and online presence.

Having appointed UpriseVSI, we will be applying a touch of modernity to the traditional Dyfed Menswear brand identity, while also developing a new, multi-functional, stylish and user-friendly website for the business.

A website that will not only showcase the wide range of formal wear the company offers, but also allowing them to purchase accessories such as ties, shirts, shoes and cufflinks. And, with the recognition of the way online and offline activity is so intrinsically linked these days, there will also be the function for Dyfed staff to be able to take deposit payments via the website while exhibiting at wedding fayres.

Online Appointment Making

Integrated within the new website will be an online appointment booking facility.

Powered by our award-winning technology thinkBooker, the system will allow customers to book consultations with ease at any one of their five shops. Having recently been implemented into the luxury London boutique, Browns (as part of their parent company, Farfetch’s ‘Store of the Future’ initiative) the online booking facility will further enhance customer experience by providing both an easy means for clients to schedule their appointments, and by providing essential customer insight to enhance the personal service in-store.

Further, the automated processes and back-office management tools will also help Dyfed save time on booking admin, helping bring greater efficiency and productivity to the business.

Making the Best Use of the Best Technology

Following the appointment of UpriseVSI for the new brand and web project, Director of Dyfed Menswear, Phil Williams, said: “We are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve the service that we offer to our clients and remain at the forefront of our industry. It’s therefore important that we keep our brand up-to-date so it reflects our positioning as a company that operates within the fashion industry.

“We also want to make use of the best technology available to provide our customers with a fantastic online experience whether they’re browsing the website, buying accessories to go with a suit or to quickly and easily book a consultation online.  Having met with UpriseVSI and seen the branding work and technology solutions they have developed for other clients, we felt they were the right company to take us forward.”

Commenting on the project for UpriseVSI, Managing Director, Gareth Rees Jones said: “We love working with ambitious and forward-thinking Welsh brands so naturally we were excited to be chosen by Dyfed to help them develop their brand and online presence.  Most people in South or West Wales who have been part of a wedding party have, at some point been to a Dyfed Menswear store so it’s a brand that’s very well-known to us all.”

“We’re looking forward to using our design skills and technology solutions to help further enhance the customer experience that Dyfed provides to its customers and to help increase their sales.  It’s also another opportunity for us to deploy our thinkBooker system as part of the online platform, which will reduce admin work for Dyfed’s staff by cutting down phone calls and emails relating to booking of consultations."
