Gearing up for a new project
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be designing and developing a fully integrated digital platform for the Aston Martin Owners Club. The new platform will include a responsive website, a forum, online shop and booking system.
Founded in 1935, the Aston Martin Owners Club is one of the oldest one-mark car enthusiast clubs in the world. Furthermore, it boasts one of the largest worldwide memberships with an impressive 7,000 members from over 20 countries. As a club with an impressive history and strong following, Aston Martin Owners Club need a platform that effectively conveys their historic roots whilst encouraging additional membership from a younger and more digitally focused demographic.
The driving force behind the project
As a brand that’s synonymous with class and luxury, it makes sense for Aston Martin owners to be treated to a sleek platform in which they can log in to an exclusive membership area. Needless to say it’s looking to be a pretty big project that will utilise our suite of technology products, including thinkBooker, thinkCMS and thinkCRM. Our booking system, thinkBooker, is already used by the likes of Manchester United and NFL team, Jacksonville Jaguars, so Aston Martin Owners Club will be in good company!
The new website will allow members to shop online for a range of luxurious merchandise including clothing, bags and gifts using thinkShopper. As part of the project, we'll also be creating a cloud based back office system that will allow Aston Martin Owner’s Club staff to manage online memberships, shop orders, events, forum moderation and area representative reports.
Our Managing Director, Gareth, commented, “Aston Martin is a highly prestigious British brand and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Aston Martin Owners Club on their new website. The project will utilise the full range of our technology products and development skills and will provide a world-class digital platform for existing members as well as helping to attract new members to join the club.
Mark Thomas, Technical Director of the Aston Martin Owners Club said, “We were impressed by the strong proposal that upriseVSI presented during the tender process, which highlighted how their software can deliver all of the online digital services that we require. We want to reduce the time our staff spend on manual processes and improve our member services. The fact that the upriseVSI systems have done this previously with other major brands gave us confidence that they were the right company for us to work with.”
We’re very proud of the fact that such a prestigious club has chosen to work with us. As Aston Martin have recently announced that they’ll be opening a production facility in St Athan in 2020, using a Welsh agency like ourselves provides a further boost to the Welsh economy.
